UBC Student Services provides a wide range of support services and resources to help students navigate the challenges of university life.
Students registered with the Centre for Accessibility may request various types of academic accommodations. Please make requests as early in the term as possible to ensure arrangements are in place.
Personal concerns such as stress, anxiety, relationships, depression, or cultural adjustment can affect academic success and well-being. For support, please contact Counselling Services or connect anytime with Here2Talk, a 24/7 mental health support service for post-secondary students in B.C.
Academic honesty and integrity are essential to a valuable educational experience. The Office of the Ombudsperson for Students and Academic Integrity provide policies, tips, and resources on proper citation, plagiarism, and students’ responsibilities. Students are expected to familiarize themselves with these policies and abide by them.
For general academic support, visit the UBC Learning Commons and Academic Learning Resources.
Under UBC’s Sexual Misconduct Policy (SC17), students are protected from harassment and discrimination based on gender, sex, or sexual orientation. If you experience or witness inappropriate behaviour, please contact your instructor, TA, or the Sexual Violence Prevention & Response Office (SVPRO). UBC’s Equity & Inclusion Office also provides resources and advocacy.
Students facing urgent financial difficulties may contact Enrolment Services Advising. For emergency financial support, please visit UBC's financial support options.
